This beautiful Arts and Crafts house did not have a master suite. The brief was to create the suite from the existing main bedroom and an adjacent room that had been used for storage for many years.

Koubou redesigned the layout of the two rooms to produce the master suite.

There was not the space for a dressing room, so a run of bespoke wardrobes was designed to ‘hide’ the entrance into the bathroom which created the feature in the room. A fireplace was removed in the bathroom and the chimney breast utilised to take the heated towel rail.

The headboard and cushions were designed to complement the wallpaper and the chandeliers were added to create the boudoir feel that the client requested.

  • Master suite with hidden en suite

    The doors of the wardrobes closed to hide the en suite, with antique glass mirror panels to add a touch of brightness. The 2 chandeliers really finished off the space, and added a luxurious touch to this beautiful master suite.

    We sourced the wall covering and wall lights for this master bedroom to make an impactful feature wall that felt like an extended headboard for the bed.

    These floating side tables gave that extra storage and surface for coffee in bed, or night time books.

  • Hidden en suite behind bespoke wardrobe

    We created the wardrobes and put a walk into the middle of the wardrobes in this master suite to create a bathroom for the client. They wanted the opportunity to have their very own en suite with a free standing bath and shower within this newly created space. The wardrobes hide the access so when closed, it looks as if the wardrobes take up the full wall.

  • En suite bathroom behind wardrobe

    This en suite that was created for this project was installed behind the wardrobes. The free-standing bath, as well as the large shower (not seen in this picture), were all sourced to make sure the client could relax and unwind. The light-up mirror, sink and unit were selected to work with the design of the space and brighten up the area.
