What should do you as business owners, start thinking about to diversify your business, workforce and the markets you trade in? Understand the signature traits, skills and competencies needed to effectively lead global and diverse teams We will look at some signature traits of an inclusive leader and see if some of these resonate with you. Collectively, these traits enable leaders to operate more effectively within diverse markets, better connect with diverse customers, access a more diverse spectrum of ideas, and enable diverse individuals in the workforce to reach their full potential.
Identify specific strategies to increase inclusive leadership competencies and build an inclusive culture in your business/organisation
Throughout the employee life-cycle, and in our workplace practices more broadly, there exist ‘moments that matter’. At these points leaders are more vulnerable to decision-making bias or behaviours that can unconsciously create advantage for some and disadvantage for others and undermine aspirations of diversity and inclusion. We will look at a snapshot of these vulnerable moments, and some practical strategies for leaders and managers to address them.
