This course will provide an overview of the attributes needed to be an inclusive leader, and how leaders can build a sustainable culture of inclusion.

What should do you as business owners, start thinking about to diversify your business, workforce and the markets you trade in?

Understand the signature traits, skills and competencies needed to effectively lead global and diverse teams

We will look at some signature traits of an inclusive leader and see if some of these resonate with you. Collectively, these traits enables leaders to operate more effectively within diverse markets, better connect with diverse customers, access a more diverse spectrum of ideas, and enable diverse individuals in the workforce to reach their full potential.

Identify specific strategies to increase inclusive leadership competencies and build an inclusive culture in your business/organisation

Throughout the employee lifecycle, and in our workplace practices more broadly, there exist ‘moments that matter’. At these points leaders are more vulnerable to decision-making bias or behaviours that can unconsciously create advantage for some and disadvantage for others and undermine aspirations of diversity and inclusion. We will look at a snapshot of these vulnerable moments, and some practical strategies for leaders and managers to address them.

Ama has over 10 years’ professional experience within diversity and inclusion, health and wellbeing, and employee engagement (of which 2 years covers CSR experience). She’s worked in a variety of private sector industries - Professional Services, Legal, Accountancy, Financial Services and Media.
Ama is passionate about diversity and inclusion and has in-depth knowledge of workplace culture, talent and diversity.

Ama has an LLB in Law and a Masters in Public Relations & Public Communications.

She is a Governor for The Boxing Academy, a Board Member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WITC), and a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce.
