BIID Evening Tour of Southside House 12th September 2018
BIID members, plus a guest, are invited on a free private tour of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster.
Guests will experience a unique combination of 1,000 years of history, modern day politics and stunning art and architecture. An expert guide will accompany members on this 75 minute tour that recounts the history of the Palace of Westminster and describes how the business and traditions of both Houses contribute to the day to day workings of the UK Parliament.
Guests are asked to arrive promptly by 3pm at the Visitor Entrance (Cromwell Green) to meet the BIID group leader Hayley McLennan. The group will then proceed through the visitors entrance into Westminster Hall to register attendance and await the tour guide. Entrance is by permit only and you will not be granted access should you not be on the guest list nor arrive by 3pm to be ushered in by the group leader through security.
Other facilities: the Jubilee Café is located near the main entrance to Westminster Hall and is open to all from 10am to 5:30pm serving food and refreshments such as paninis, coffees and cake. There is also a gift shop located in Westminster Hall which you can visit once the tour is over. Toilet facilities are also located in Westminster Hall.
When the Houses are sitting, the full tour route may not always be available and can be subject to last minute changes or cancellation due to parliamentary business.
This is a free event for BIID members only plus one guest, if you are a member and are bringing a guest, please be sure to book yourself and your guest on the same registration.
