The most important difference between designer and leader is one word: brand. Even though traditionally, 80% of a successful interior designer’s business is repeat business, the rapidly shifting digital landscape gives a whole new urgency to the saying, "out of sight, out of mind". If you want to attract ideal clients, consistent income and opportunities like publication or licensing, you must get the story of who you are, and why you’re doing business, right.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this 1-hour branding and visibility strategy session, designers will be guided on how to bridge the gap between designer and leader.
We’ll uncover what a visibility strategy is and why it’s important and then, how it differs from traditional marketing.
Next we’ll look at the beginnings of your brand DNA and review a series of case studies for comparison.
Designers will learn how to define their audience of ideal clients and the power of online engagement. Finally, you’ll learn how to structure your business as a “circle of opportunity”.
This class is taught in a virtual classroom and is interactive so your questions are welcome and there is an opportunity for live coaching
Kim will be asking you questions to consider in the group conversation, these will be varied depending on the individual requirements of each session but could include:

A laptop or desktop computer and a good internet connection. You will also need access to a speaker on your device and may find that the use of headphones will benefit the audio. The link for the webinar will be sent to you after you have booked your place and prior to the event.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Kim Kuhteubl is an award-winning producer, author and member of the Producers Guild Of America.
Her company MeByDesign is an idea boutique for the home goods industry. They work with designers, architects, influencers and makers of beautiful things for the home on strategy, visibility, and cross-platform audience engagement. She has packaged stories about interior design and real estate development in print, for television and on digital platforms for two decades.
Leadership is a large component of the work the company does. They coach and consult with creative executives and their teams on vision and mind-set, sales and personal branding to create custom programs that offer high-level accountability and results.
Kim’s book Branding + Interior Design offers designers with a residential focus practical steps on bridging the gap between designer and leader.
