The Housing Debate

Hosted by BDP alongside Birmingham City Council Countryside Properties Ilke Homes Places for People Public Practice, Royal Institute of British Architects, the Design Council, Urban Splash, West Midlands Combined Authority at The Studio in Birmingham on May 14th.

The Housing Debate will be chaired by Ben Derbyshire, President of the RIBA.

It will focus on the theme of Quality or Quantity – How do we successfully achieve both?

  • Can we still achieve quality homes and places in an uncertain market?
  • Is it just a numbers game?
  • How do we provide enough ‘real’ affordable homes?
  • Will public sector/private sector collaboration help to drive up numbers and quality?
  • Can the manufacturing and digitisation of housing drive up quality or just help increase quantity?

There will be drinks and canapes and opportunity to network and discuss the current housing issues.
