Decorex International opens the 2015 London Design Festival and will be held over the course of four days in the historic grounds of Syon Park.
Celebrating the future of
luxury, the theme for this year’s show, this renowned design and interiors fair
will showcase new work by 400 exhibitors – from established companies through
to emerging talents.
The show invites visitors to explore the future of luxury
through a series of interactive feature areas and inspiring seminars hosted by
prominent names in the world of design. Exploring materiality, leading applied
arts and design critic, Corinne Julius, curates the eagerly anticipated sequel
to Future Heritage, an exciting showcase of people to commission and the names
to collect in contemporary British craft. The renowned interior designer,
Russell Sage will be designing this year’s champagne bar.
A consumer day
(Tuesday 21 September) will encourage the general public to explore the show
and its dedicated offering, including a pop-up food market and the chance to
indulge in luxury street food from some of London’s rising stars in the food
industry.
The BIID will once again be holding the highlight of the show's seminar programme with a panel discussion on "The Pleasures and Pains of Interior Design". A moment to stop and have some therapy for wearied designers, BIID President Dan Hopwood, Vice President Susie Rumbold, Staffan Tollgard and Nia Morris will be discussing
what gets them out of bed to do the job, what frustrates them and what
scares them now and about the future of the profession.
