Event description
Please join Franz Schneider Brakel GMBH + Co KG (FSB) for a virtual presentation of their BIID accredited CPD 'Specifying High Performing Bathroom Fittings for Barrier-Free Living' on Thursday the 11th of November from 10am to 11am.
This informative CPD will give an overview of how the design industry use materials, such as aluminium and stainless steel to develop products for bathroom fittings that are accessible for all users.
It will also explain how the industry can provide high quality and high performing design techniques to ensure maximum comfort and additional support for the less able. It will briefly cover the design standards, and requirements for accessible fittings in hospitals and hotels. The case studies will show the possibilities of the different materials in the different environments, the use of colour contrast and various options.
Learning outcomes:
- To understand the design development for aluminium and stainless-steel products for the use of bathrooms to ensure they are accessible for all.
- To discuss the design approach for selecting different materials for different projects, i.e., hospitals and hotels.
