Light & Bright Apartment
Our remit for this project was to create two social spaces within the client's home. A relaxed Family Room and a second more formal Drawing Room.
The Drawing Room was designed as an area to relax in solitude or enjoy an aperitif and conversation with friends.
The silver and grey tones are underlined with cream to instil a feeling of clam, whilst the burnt orange injects adult indulgence and avoids the scheme feeling bland.
Although structured in form, the furniture is comfortable with soft fabrics to encourage lengthy use.
The lighting from Porta Romana is muted and enhanced by the remote control Chesney fire to add easy atmosphere.
Formal drapes, with remote control blinds ensure privacy and sun protection.
In contrast, the Family Room was designed as a space where everyone could relax, play games or watch TV. However, it had to be an area that could cope with children's clutter, but revert to an adult friendly space in the evening.
The key to this is storage and this design has it in spades.
The large, comfortable sofa provides plenty of seating with a stain resistant soft fabric to ensure it can be used by all the family.
Bespoke wall units and large ottoman provide storage. Whilst light is added to the room with the introduction of mirrors.
