Key Interiors specialises in a variety of styles. Below are examples of our contemporary projects.
Our client downsized from a large Chelsea house we had designed for them many years previously to a three bedroom apartment, located near Tate Modern on London's South Bank. This is an award-winning development by Foster & Partners. We designed and sourced the furnishings, lighting and colour schemes, and a number of pieces were custom-made for the space taking our clients' wishes into account.
Our client purchased this house in Galloway Road, a charming street in
West London, in dire need of complete refurbishment. The main work
undertaken was moving the kitchen from the rear of the house to the
front, and enlarging the opening between the areas, thus creating a
large open-plan space for living, dining and cooking, one of their hobbies. A new contract
oak-look laminate floor, impervious to water, was installed throughout
the ground floor. The kitchen units selected were glossy and off-white,
selected to maximise the feeling of space. The back-painted glass
splashback in the pale elegant wall colour (Blackened by Farrow and
Ball) further reflects light and blends in with other elements of the
scheme. The dark technical stone worktop creates a dramatic contrast.
Furniture was kept light to maximise its impact in the restricted space.
Other work in the house included tiling the patio as well as a full-length planter in dark slate, creating drainage for the patio, two compact elegant bathrooms, one of which is in the new bright and light loft extension, built-in wardrobes, a flat weave runner on the stairs and full redecoration to the interior and exterior.
