A touch of glamour combined with comfort were our client's wishlist for this London pied-a-terre. The unique hand-burnished silver walls create elegant surroundings for carefully sourced furniture, artwork and accessories.
This two-bedroom central London apartment is the epitome of “small is beautiful”. The complete re-design has fulfilled our client’s every wish.
We opened up two rooms to create a large open-plan sitting and dining room. To further enhance the feeling of light and space, we laid an oak herringbone parquet and mirrored one wall with antiqued glass.
Exquisite finishes feature throughout; sitting-room walls burnished in silver leaf, bedroom and study walls in delicate grass papers, satin oak parquet in all living areas, dining wall in antique mirror with bevelled edges and both bathrooms faced in luxurious book-matched marble.
Beautiful pieces of furniture and accessories were selected for our client, including the Malden sideboard in burr walnut and raven oak which was sourced from our sister company Black & Key.
The dining table top is finished in a unique Molten Metal surface with antiqued nickel detailing. A bold amethyst fabric was specified for the dining chairs to add a touch of vibrancy to the neutral colour scheme.
For our clients' master bedroom, we selected the Hepburn bed, Wilson bedside tables and Woodrow chest of drawers, also from the Black & Key collection for our client’s master bedroom. The grass wallpaper, sumptuous silk curtains with oversized curtain tassels and glass bead wall-lights add further touches of luxury. The mirror conceals a television.
We designed a trundle bed for this compact guest bedroom. The secretaire in figured walnut opens to reveal a drop down desk to make the best use of the available space.
