Profile

Established in 1988, The Blinds Company produce beautiful hand-made, bespoke blinds. Our London location is easily accessible to clients and convenient for Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, specialist fabric suppliers, interior designers, architects, etc.

Our professional and individual service, top quality workmanship, attention to detail and flexible approach enable us to meet our clients' requirements and deadlines and assist with design solutions.

Roller, Roman and Vertical Blinds, Gliding Panels, Pelmets and Lambrequins using customers' own fabrics are made and hand finished by a small, specialist workforce in our own premises. We also make made-to measure roller blinds from our plain house fabrics and supply high quality, custom made Wooden & Aluminium Venetian Blinds, Pinoleum Blinds and Velux blinds.

Laminated Roller Blinds have a stiffened backing cloth bonded to the reverse side of a fabric. Laminating is particularly suitable for glazed chintz, silk, moirés, synthetics, loosely woven fabrics and any material that has joins for wide blinds.

Processed Roller Blinds are created by stiffening a fabric with a special silicone solution. Processing is most suitable for voile and lace as it retains the fabric's translucency.

Roller blinds can be finished with borders, base shapes, trims, etc to individual requirements. They are fitted either on a spring roller with a central pull cord and wooden acorn or with sidewinder chains in chrome, brass or white plastic

Roman Blinds are made from customers' own fabric lined and interlined if required. Steel rods are used in each horizontal pleat to give proper weight for an even rise and fall. The covered wooden top is an integral part of the blind, allowing a very professional fit to be achieved. Porcelain glides, brass eyelets and cleats are supplied as standard. Sidewinder mechanisms are also available. The edges can have borders or the bottom edge trimmed.

The IP badge designates Industry Partner membership of the Institute. Industry Partner membership is for companies that supply goods and services to the interior design sector and have met our strict entry requirements.
