There is currently no government regulation of the interior design profession which means that BIID membership is the only way to evidence your professionalism.

  • Support for the BIID Professional Pathway will be provided by the BIID Professional Pathway team who will be able to answer your questions and provide guidance, when needed.
  • You will be able to formally validate your professional competence and clearly demonstrate to employers, colleagues and clients that you have met the national standard for interior design.

  • You will be able to enjoy all the additional benefits of BIID membership such as networking, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events, legal advice and mentoring.
  • Once you have completed the Pathway, in addition to becoming a BIID Registered Interior Designer you will be listed on the ‘Find a Designer’ search engine where potential clients can find you. You will also receive client referrals directly to your inbox.
