Shiran Sooriya-Arachchi (B.I.I.D) has 20+ years of building prestige retail, high-end residential, hospitality and educational interior design, architecture & branding identity work at international level. With 10 years specializing in store design for the Estée Lauder Group including Store Design Director for the Asia Pacific region, his work has been awarded and published. Making work in emerging economies has become one of his specialties including built projects in Asia & the Middle East He has led consultancy store design for Levi's, Levi's Girls, Clarins, Elizabeth Arden & Duty Free Shoppers (DFS). He designed the Art, Design & Media Library (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the house for the Commander of Singapore Airforce, Singapore. His hospitality work has included concept development projects for the Oberoi Hotel Group, India, the Giorgio Armani Residences in Egypt and restaurant & bar designs for the owners of the Aman Resorts. He studied Interior Design at Kingston University, London where he was awarded a Commendation for Design. He later qualified in Architecture Year III to gain the Royal Institute of British Architects Part 1 exemption. He has also been awarded 1st place prize by the Singapore Institute of Architects in Open Competition. He is presently living & working in Singapore.
