Jonathan Brunskill works on residential projects and has considerable experience in the restoration and repair of listed buildings; he has a post graduate qualification in Building Conservation awarded by the RICS.  Jonathan Brunskill carries out interior and architectural design for the general refurbishment, alteration and extension of houses, from initial concept and design development, to planning and listed building consents, where required, to the preparation of construction specifications, detail design and schedules of finishes for tendering. The on-site works are supervised as part of the contract.

Jonathan works closely with the Client to ensure that a thorough understanding of the brief will lead to a successful project outcome.  A successful Client/Designer relationship will achieve the best results in the development and execution of the design concepts.

Current and recent projects include:

  • Alterations and full refurbishment of a small Arts and Crafts country house in the Home Counties. Planning Consent was granted to extend the house and build a staff cottage. The detailing of the new and existing rooms respects and reflects the arts and crafts origins of the house.

  • Planning and Listed Building Consent was granted for alterations and full refurbishment of a Grade II listed terraced house in Marylebone.

  • Refurbishment and extensive works altering and detailing the interiors and joinery in a large flat in central London for a couple downsizing from a family house.

  • Planning consent was granted to return flats in a large property in North London to a family house. Large family areas were created on the ground floor and the original Victorian staircase winding round a large stairwell was restored, giving access to the bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floors.
