INTEGRATION TO ENHANCE FUNCTIONALITY
Having previously used high-tech integrated systems including Crestron, Lutron, Meljac and Steinway Lyngdorf, in an earlier property this client had high expectations. The familiarity with the systems meant that they knew what they wanted – all of the previous functionality with the most up to date systems but with a simplified user experience. The technology was to be hidden as much as possible or to be discreetly coordinated with the interior decor.
The multi-room audio system Sonos was installed to provide music control via Crestron’s native Sonos integration allowing music from multiple sources to be played throughout the house and garden. The main lounge is fitted with a Steinway Lyngdorf music system consisting of wall-mounted Model S speakers and floor standing boundary woofers which are RAL matched to discreetly blend in with the interior.
Lutron Homeworks QS provides the primary control of lighting throughout the property, and use Meljac keypads for full scene-setting control. The security system installed provides perimeter and space protection for all floors, with entrance doors and windows fitted with contact vipers and PIRs. External BPT video entry panels around the property provide access control and in-wall Crestron touch screens are used for internal access control, as well as for whole-house lighting settings and heating control.
We designed a simpler, more modern user interface and enhanced the functionality of the integration between all sub-systems.
The handcrafted range, subtle refinement and sophisticated functionality suit any interior.
