Entering is easy! Here's a step-by-step guide:

Entry criteria explained

  • Who can participate: Entries are open to interior designers and architects. Both BIID members and non-members can apply.  Non BIID members must be UK based. It is possible to join the BIID and then enter the awards.
  • Types of eligible projects: Interior design projects from various sectors are eligible, including residential, commercial, and public sector projects. Projects are entered in commercial or residential categories. A reminder of the definitions of the categories can be found here.
  • Project completion timeframe: To be considered, the project must have been completed and handed over to the client between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025. Projects completed outside of these dates are ineligible for entry.
  • Client consent: Before entering your project for an award, you must obtain permission from your client to use the photographs and allow the Site Assessor to visit the property (if shortlisted).
  • Terms and conditions: Before submitting your entry, please thoroughly review the complete terms and conditions.

How are the projects judged?

  1. All entries will be reviewed by our Shortlist Panel.
  2. Every shortlisted project will be visited in person by expert assessors from our Site Assessment Panel.
  3. All shortlisted projects will be submitted for final judging by a separate group, our Judging Panel, to ensure the most rigorous and fair judgement process. They will judge the information supplied by entrants, in addition to feedback from the Site Assessors.
