Jan Norman

For Jan Norman, RIBA BIID, architecture and interiors are all encompassing and intertwining disciplines, shaped as much my intuition as by precision. Jan has been integral part in the growth of 23 Architecture and Interiors, and having joined in 1998, she is now a Director, heading up the interiors side of the practice.

Having lived in Glasgow, Florence and Berlin, she later settled in London. These influences together formed a layered dialogue between tradition and contemporary expression. Creating and delivering one off homes for discerning clients for nearly thirty years, her breadth of experience informs a holistic approach, where architecture and interiors are conceived as one, creating spaces that are individual, cohesive, refined, and built to endure.

The practice are known for creating spatial, sculptural, light filled projects and the team approach projects collaboratively and sensitively, encouraging their client's individuality to be reflected.

Jan specialises in creating elegant, timeless interiors that seamlessly integrate architecture and interior design. Working closely with her team, she delivers a holistic design service, ensuring that every element of a project, from spatial design and architectural detailing to design and selections of furniture, lighting, fabrics, and finishes, contributes to a cohesive and refined aesthetic. Her thoughtful approach and attention to detail have helped shape some of the practice’s most prestigious multi-million pound residential projects.
