Laura Stewart

Laura Stewart has worked in the industry for 25 years. Her studio Born Designers, which she co-owns with her furniture-maker husband Philip,  focuses on transforming interiors from ordinary to extraordinary.

Their studio specialises in both high-end residential work and bespoke commercial projects and they also offer valuable consulting services for other practices. 

After graduating with a BA(hons) in Interior Architecture and Design, Laura designed bars and restaurants, luxury hotel rooms and spas across Europe and the Americas before co-founding Born Designers. Laura brings this experience of high-end hospitality design to the residential market, helping clients realise the potential in their homes, and enhance the customer experience for businesses.

For a number of years Laura has been a visiting lecturer on the MA Interior Design course at The Royal College of Art and previously held teaching posts on the BA Interior Design courses at Kingston & Middlesex Universities.
