Joanna Wood

Joanna Wood established her eponymous interior design practice over 40 years ago. Since then, it has evolved into an internationally acclaimed studio, with a young and vibrant team of designers renowned for its work on both contemporary and historic projects. Based in Belgravia, the firm comprises a team of 15 talented professionals and supports a well-established retail presence on Elizabeth Street.

The studio’s client base includes private clients and individuals, institutions, property developers, and investors with extensive experience spanning the restoration and renovation of a wide range of public and private buildings, including notable collaborations with English Heritage, The National Trust, and Historic Houses.

Recognized as a leader in her field, Joanna is a Fellow of both the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Her distinguished career has been honoured with numerous accolades, including the BIID Award of Merit in 2021—the Institute’s highest distinction, as well as a regular entry into H&G top 100, Andrew Martin Review and Design et Al 2024 award winner.

Joanna is a founding partner to several design businesses including Lewis & Wood fabrics and wallpapers, and Lawson Wood bespoke upholstery.
