Joanna Wood has designed several apartments in the historic and quirky Sloane Building. She makes fitting a contemporary living space around the Grade II listed features look easy. Her solutions include turning awkward or darker spaces into family snugs, a cinema room and a study.
It is an extraordinary space, with unexpected twists and turns. Originally designed as a school, then an adult education college. It has also been used in the feature film ‘The Theory of Everything'.
Now it has been transformed into an elegant and luxurious space with a choice of entertaining spaces with bespoke artworks; and calm serene bedrooms with a soft palette of pinks, lilac and aubergine.
