Eligibility Criteria
Interior designers with no qualification and less than 6 years work experience qualify for BIID Interior Designer: Provisional Associate.
Those without a Diploma (validated by a UK university)/Foundation Degree/HND/BA in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture and has less then 6 years experience work experience.
Application Process
Applicants are required to complete the online application form and include details of their education and work experience.
Membership Fees
Interior Designer: Provisional Associate *£120 + VAT per year. Membership dues are based on the calendar year (April - March). Memberships are pro-rated on a monthly basis. *If you switch to paying by direct debit you can spread your payments over the year by a direct debit collection only. If payment is made by BACS/Credit or Debit card, the full invoice amount must be paid. Fees are reviewed annually.

1. Code of Conduct
The Institute requires all members to abide by the BIID Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics. Code of Conduct
2. Annual Subscription
Our financial year for membership runs from the 1st April to 31st March. Annual subscriptions are due on the 1st April. Individuals who apply mid-year will be issued an invoice calculated monthly on a pro-rata basis.
3. Resignations
Members should inform the Institute by the 31st March if they do not wish to renew their membership.
4. Refunds
No refunds of a subscription or part subscription is possible.
