Ben is an architect and interior designer specialising in sustainable residential projects in London. 

He founded his RIBA Chartered Practice, Architecture for London, in 2011 and has since designed a number of widely published and award-winning projects. He leads on design, sustainability, practice management and strategic direction.

Architecture for London's residential projects include new build architectural homes, refurbishments of heritage properties and house extensions at all scales. With AFL Build, the company can offer a complete turn-key solution, including design & build, sustainability, interior design, joinery and garden design.

AFL creates healthy buildings with natural, breathable materials that achieve the highest sustainability and comfort standards, including Passivhaus and EnerPhit. This approach creates warm, low-energy homes and workplaces that are a joy to inhabit.

Ben was selected for the annual Rising Star Award by the RIBA Journal in 2017, and has since been a member of the jury for the RIBA / Grand Designs House of the Year Award 2022, and the peer review panel for the 2024 'Don't Move, Improve!' awards. He is a Passivhaus designer with significant technical expertise in the design of low energy buildings.

Ben studied architecture at UCL in London, where he graduated with 1st class honours and distinctions. He received several prizes for his work, including the Sir Andrew Taylor Environmental Design Prize, the Ambrose Poynter prize for distinguished work and the Leverhulme Trust Bursary for expertise and originality in architecture.
