The Person Behind the Practice

Servet Yuksel is the founder and director of Kapeti Interior Architecture, a design and build practice based in Chelsea, London.

Servet's background is deliberately unconventional for a designer. Educated in material engineering and industrial product design in Turkey, and subsequently at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, he developed an early understanding of how things are actually made — not just how they look on paper. Before establishing Kapeti, he spent years providing design consultancy and project services to international firms across multiple countries, giving him a commercial perspective that most design studios simply don't have.

He is a registered member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) — the UK's leading professional body for interior designers — a recognition earned through the quality and complexity of completed projects, including Efes Premium Wimbledon and Efes Plus Richmond, two of London's most talked-about restaurant interiors in recent years.

Servet works with clients in English and Turkish. Kapeti has delivered projects for clients from Turkey, the Gulf region and across Europe — bringing the same integrated design and build approach to every project, regardless of origin or location.
