This new build luxury basement interior in central London added a hub of luxury facilities below the existing property. Underpinned during an extensive renovation, Wilkinson Beven worked closely with the client and construction team from initial concepts to design the facilities and finishes, co ordinating the lighting design and detailing the bespoke joinery before selecting interior furnishings. Key features include: 25 meter swimming pool, spa area, cinema, full height climbing wall and games room.

  • The feature pool hall ceiling folds through the air with illuminated plains lighting the basements volume as they rotate, light shafts puncture the ceiling allowing light to filter over and into the pool. This monolithic space plays with clean architectural lines and gains an injection of crisp blue from the vast volume of water held within the 25 metre swimming pool enhanced only by the flash of colour within the lane markings.

  • Spa design

    The Spa (shown above) sits within a floating teak plinth raised above the polished concrete floor finish, topped with upholstered pads creating a sanctuary to relax within the space, the warm injection of timber with fabrics help to balance the interior providing a family friendly environment.

    A climbing wall within the games room utilises the vertical proportions adding coloured multi-faceted plains within the interior and linking well with the Memphis inspired LED penda
