We have been a longstanding supplier for a 5,000 sq ft home in Cobham, from the developer calling us in when the previous integrator did not complete the installation, to the two owners of the property over the last decade.
The home was first specified with an Opus system with Rako Lighting. This was changed when the frist owner had problems using the system, and the Opus system became defunct.
Electric Frog were asked to specify the smart home to allow for 10 zones of Audio and Video, and update the lighting control to work better and have integrated controls from ipads, iphonesd and stick remotes.
A Savant Audio Video System was decided upon, along with a Lutron lighting control system. The challenges faced were time, lack of documentation and additional cabling where required.
The project was also undertaken when the client was on summer holiday, so we were left the keys and left to get on with it.
We supplied and installed the following:
- 72 circuit Lutron system, with 24 keypads for lighting
- 6 Video + 10 Audio distribution around the property
-6 samsung TV's (55" & 65')
-5.1 surround sound media Room
-Strip out of defunct Opus control system, replaced with Savant iPad, iphone and stick remotes.
-wireless Data network throughout
-External CCTV cameras
-Electrical changes lead to us certifying and testing all of the electrical works, and replacing consumer Units.
The works was done in two phases, and completed within a 3 week period each time.
We have recently been back to the property to cater for the Latest owners requirements, and upgraded the Media room and other TV rooms with 4K TV's and Sky Q.
