For this three storey London Victorian apartment we opened up the wall between kitchen and stairwell with a bank of glass and then again with glazed doors into the sitting room. The apartment was East facing so it was important to get the light through morning and evening to the main entertaining spaces. Dark venetian wooden blinds allow the shape of the windows to come through and the sofas were designed by Mhairi with silk velvet trim to give definition to their shape. The small bathroom was painted dark aubergine to keep it smart and provide interest in a small space with reclaimed spanish floor tiles. The guest bedroom was created with book cases framing the rear window to bring life to a less used space and with clever wardrobes to create as much storage as possible.
