Very rarely does a project come along where we deal solely with the client but Corvettes was just such a project. A fabulous journey between the client and myself over a two year period. A combination of floors with Herringbone to a formal lounge with inset rug. Mansion weave to moody, sultry guest cloaks and gentlemans room and a stunning design to a huge central space in massive chevron with central spine and border joint details. Each intersection was jointed to the same angle as the chevron 32.5/57.5 degrees with brass detailling to the wine area, curved bordes under the stairs and at the footer of the strings.

  • Chevron staves 3000 mm long, plank widths 302 mm, border spines 5000 and 6000 mm long.

  • The central spine is 4 pieces each 6000 mm long and all joint detailing is at 32.5 degrees.

  • Important to take account of the curved work at the foot of the each stringer. These sections were from 520 mm wide material to cope with the curve.

  • The border was installed and the brass line routered into the field at a depth of 6 mm. Brass width 10 mm

  • Wonderful deep dark colour to this mansion weave with both deep brown and purple tones bleeding through depending on how the light hits the floor. Three window cills were constructed from engineered material, mitred to create a 60 mm box.The longest 6000 mm and all widths at 375 mm. These workers great seating too. A stunning statement to each window.

  • A beautiful grey Herringbone with stave border set to the size of what was to become a wonderful carpet rug.
