Dee Gibson

Dee Gibson is the founder of Velvet Orange a design practice with a penchant for UK based international clients and an emotional design ethos. In 2017 Dee built Kalukanda House, a boutique hotel in Sri Lanka and a sought after design-led destination.

Dee and her hotel have featured in the Hip Hotel Guide “Top 5 Best Slow Travel Destinations” and their **“**Ultimate Design Guide”. She has won awards for entrepreneurship and was recently noted at the 2023 International Women in Travel Awards and she was listed in the ‘Top 23 Women to Watch in Travel in 2023’ by Travel Pulseommitment in response to climate breakdown and biodiversity collapse.
