The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room project at Park Farm Hotel came from the confidence built working with owners & management team for 6 years on various projects in different areas of the hotel. The brief was to devise a scheme for a room that has been used as an overflow to the main restaurant and also a thoroughfare between the old and new parts of the building. After analysing the food and beverage offering and the existing dining areas around the hotel we proposed a dedicated space for serving afternoon tea would be both beneficial to the logistics of serving as well as customer experience. The Georgian architecture of the Drawing Room was at the forefront of our thoughts when designing the space. The sash windows were left undressed, instead painting them to highlight the architecture and shutters. The new layout increased the number of covers from 18 to 25 and gives customers more intimate spaces to dine. We retained the grandfather clock and the chandeliers, two of which were already in the room and two were relocated from another room in the hotel.
