Working with China effectively offers many opportunities to UK designers and manufacturers but there are also the issues of dealing with IP intellectual property challenges. Tom Duke, the UK IP attaché to China will be visiting London at the end of February and has agreed to talk about China news, updates and give a progress on the various talks with Alibaba. There will be a round table debate offering designers the opportunity to discuss their various IP issues. IPO CEO John Alty is hoping to join us to too to give a brief update on his recent visit to China and progress with Chinese officials. We will also have a representative from the China British Business Council who will outline help and resources available to those who already work with China but those who are intent on opening up new opportunities. Two case studies will highlight some current issues and following the event there will be published tips & guidelines and an ongoing information sharing programme.
