BIID Summer Party 2014

Event date

Event description

The British
Institute of Interior Design (BIID) has announced that its annual Summer Party
will take place at the London showroom of BIID industry partner, FORZA in Great
Portland Street, London on Thursday 19th June.

The summer party, which follows this year’s Annual
Conference and AGM, will provide the perfect end to a productive day for
designers.

The event will be hosted in the Forza
Showroom in partnership with leading Italian kitchen manufacturer Valcucine and
Barzaghistore, the UK agent. Members will have plenty to enjoy together,
with divine morsels from Villandry, selected cheeses from La Fromagerie and
fine wines from the vineyards of Treviso and Trieste.

“The FORZA showroom is a fantastic venue for
our summer party,” says Joy Curniffe, the Institute’s Membership Manager. “We are excited to once again be partnering
with them and as always, it is set to be a wonderful evening, rounding off a
great day for BIID members.”

Commenting
on the arrangements, Mike Hardy, Sales Director at FORZA says: “This year’s party is a sequel to the very
successful summer party hosted at the FORZA showroom in 2011. We are ideally
placed to host, being just 200 paces from the RIBA. We very much look forward
to welcoming BIID members and their guests for what will be a fantastic evening.”

Daniele Prosdocimo from Valcucine adds: “Valcucine has extended a special invitation
to Roberto Sutto and Laura Carraro, both eminent Italian artisans who will be
demonstrating unique craft skills during this very special evening.”

Giancarlo Barzaghi from Barzaghistore further
explains: “The BIID party will provide us
with the perfect opportunity to introduce members to the special skills that
form an integral part of Valcucine production.”

All members of the BIID are invited to this event and will receive their invitation directly soon.

There is
still time to book your place at the Annual Conference, entitled;
'Life-Changing Design: Transforming the Human Experience’.   This year, the BIID will look at how health
centres and hospices, leisure and work spaces, retail and residential interiors
can all be improved through intelligent and creative design.

The day will
feature a series of thought-provoking and inspirational talks from a number of
global experts and design practitioners who will help tell the story of how
design is transforming the human experience.
