LED Crash Course

Event date

Since the introduction of LED lighting in the home and the workplace, myths and rumours have piled up. In this seminar, Paul Cox of Orluna will seek to bust these myths and demonstrate how LED can be integrated into modern interior design.

We will look at the following myths:

  • LED lighting lasts forever
  • LED is the answer to everything
  • LED can kill
  • LED keeps you awake at night
  • LED cannot be dimmed
  • LED is designed to flash on and off when it's not working properly
  • LED is equivalent to low voltage lamps
  • LED cannot have wide beam angles

LED shouldn't be so confusing. It is like any other light source, only electronic. This talk will dispel some of the misconceptions being sold to the interior design community.

The talk will accompany a forum style Q&A on the subject, and attendees are invited to bring their issues and questions in advance.
