Week (23 -
25 June) returns to Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour with a
dynamic programme bringing together big names from around the globe. Over three
action-packed days, it promises thought-provoking design debates, technical workshops, trend talks, think tanks and ‘meet the designer’
sessions.
Top keynote speakers include David Nelson, head of design at
Foster + Partners, who will explore the firm’s yacht commissions and how they
have been the catalyst for new ideas and technologies and Marek Reichman, design
director of Aston Martin. He will talk with Quintessence Yachts and Mulder
Design on how they created the AM37 speedboat, the ultimate ‘driving on water’
experience. Access All Areas will return again this year giving delegates
more informal interaction within Design Centre showrooms to discover the latest
design directions, seek out specialist products and take advantage of the
expert knowledge offered on site.
Keynote Speakers:

· Marek Reichman, design director of Aston Martin – discussing the AM37 speedboat. (Aston Martin worked with Quintessence Yachts and Mulder Design to create the ultimate ‘driving on water’ experience).
· Johannes Torpe of Johannes Torpe Studios - internationally-known for his holistic approach, he will explain the role of an ‘experience’ designer in the 21st century.
· Arturo Vittori , co-founder of Architecture and Vision – his projects have spanned aviation, marine and aerospace fields and he will discuss how to use design for a sustainable future.
Interactive Workshops:
· Meet the designer – superyacht luminaries including Terence Disdale, John Munford, Cristiano Gatto, Michael Leach, Martin Francis and Jonathan Rhoades share anecdotes and expertise.
· Design debates – talks on the crossover between superyachts and private jets, high-end refits and sailing yachts, plus material innovations and living green.
· Think tanks – discussions on emerging colour trends, the next generation and designer’s IP.
· Technical workshops – sessions on fuel for the future, plus 3D printing
