This project started in 2009 with a new build design commissioned by the client. They had not given much thought to an integrated home. A design specification was drawn up, and we presented ideas of how the home could work as an integrated undertaking. Crestron controls and AV distribution along with Lutron Lighting and Shading systems were decided upon as the main requirement. After several discussions, the following remit was produced:
-Audio Video Distribution for 16 Rooms of Video, 20 Zones of Audio over Fibre
-On wall and in-ceiling speakers thoughout
-Lighting control for 220 circuits of lighting, 52 Keypads
-48 blinds, shades and curtains
-Touch Panel controls for Intercom, Door Entry and CCTV monitoring
-8 Stick remotes, 4 ipads and 2 iPhones
-14 CCTV cameras
-Gate Entry linked to new telephone system and Touch panels
-Telephony system
-Data Distribution around the property and its grounds (13 access points)
-Future Automation concealed enclosures for joinery in 3 rooms.
-Cinema Room including Kaleidescape Media servers
-Media Room
-3 Sky Q boxes, 3 Apple TV's for Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple Streaming services
Cabling to Future proof the property was run. Over 15 km of Data, Fibre, Speaker and Control cables were run, to provide redundancy, contingency and upgrades when required.
The client moved in in 2013, and since then we have upgrade the property over a number a years to include upgrades in 2019
-Faster Wifi data access points, router / modem and switches
-Lutron Illunmination to Lutron QS upgrade
-Crestron Series 3 processor and hand held controls
-Cinema Projector 4k and dolby Atmos surround sound.
-Additional amplification to Garden system.
We worked along side the Interior design team, joinery company, and the client also commissioned our electrical partner for completness. The client is still our client to this day, and we support the property requirements both with site visits and remotely to ensure the system works reliability for the Family.
