This turn-key project was a full renovation of a 3 bedroom luxury apartment overlooking the river Thames and Windsor Castle. The client’s brief was to create a contemporary traditional crossover suitable for several generations of the family. Another key requirement was to have an open-plan living space which we achieved by taking down several walls between the kitchen, lounge, and dining area.

The entire apartment was stripped back; out-of-date air-conditioning was removed, underfloor heating was installed, and an automated lighting system brought the apartment to life. The bathrooms were refurbished to a high standard with porcelain stone tiles in a chevron design accompanying antique brass fittings continuing the contemporary crossover.

The smallest bedroom needed to be multifunctional, with an office during the day and a bedroom at night. We achieved this by designing bespoke paneling that hid a pull-down bed. It was important for the client to have a luxurious backdrop whilst taking zoom meetings during the day.

The true test was when the clients moved in they felt at home immediately.

    The sitting area is part of an open-plan space including dining room and kitchen. The feature window looks out over the Thames and Windsor Castle. The seating centres around a bespoke fire/TV unit with display shelving on each side.

    The dining area sits within a curved bay. Seating is a mix of bespoke upholstered chairs and banquette seating. A Lazy Susan is a feature of the dining table.

    The difficult central structural pillar turned into a positive as we set it within the kitchen island and built the kitchen around it.

  • Master bedroom. Bespoke bed and headboard. Reupholstered heritage chairs.

    The master bedroom features the same distinctive windows as the rest of the apartment opening out on to a balcony. Our client had two heritage chairs that they wished to maintain so we had them reupholstered to fit in with our plan. The bed and headboard were made bespoke.

  • Master bathroom. Contrasting tiling

    This glamorous bathroom is off of the master bedroom. Tiles are set in two angles to contrast and create a feature wall.

  • Spare bedroom. Home office. Pull down bed.

    Our client wanted to combine home office space with an additional spare bedroom. We designed this pull-down bed which is concealed behind cupboard doors on a day-to-day basis and can be set up when required.
