Our top three tips for making the most of your supplier page

Did you know that it takes about 0.05 seconds (50 milliseconds) for users to form an opinion online?* So, if you’re an Industry Partner with us, getting your supplier listing right on the BIID website is key. Here’s our top 3 tips for optimising your listing.
 

THE USE OF KEYWORDS

One of the most important things to get right is the use of keywords in your listing. The first keyword you list should be your company name. This ensures that your company is displayed correctly on our Find a Supplier page.

After this, it is up to you what keywords you’d like to include, as long as they are separated by a comma. The more specific you are about your products, the easier it will be for interior designers to find what they are looking for. These keywords are not in set categories; you have the freedom to market your company the way you choose, with keywords that will really capture your products/services.

SET A MAIN IMAGE

High-quality, relevant visuals can dramatically increase engagement, trust, and memorability, particularly in the first few seconds of seeing an image on a supplier page like ours. We recommend you always include a high-quality image as your main image on your profile. Without this image, although you will still have a Supplier listing in the A-Z, it won’t show up when an interior designer navigates to the Find a Supplier page and searches by keyword.

USE THE PROJECT SECTION

The project section of your Partners Area allows you to set up to 9 different projects, along with up to 6 images of your choosing for each project (54 in total). This is an excellent way to showcase your products/services to our members. You can regularly update this section, or add a new project whenever you have a launch. This is your opportunity to stand out from the crowd by visually showcasing your products/services alongside a description of what makes them unique. Stunning visuals could win you that next customer.
