CPD overview

The aim of this presentation is to give architects and designers an understanding of sintered stone, its application in design and how to specify sustainable sintered stone.

Sintered stone sustainable development process will be explained and its unique characteristics and benefits.

Participants will be taught how to critically evaluate sintered stone for different design options and project types, from kitchens to facades.

The session will promote a more environmentally aware and sustainable industry by going through key questions to ask in the specification of sustainable sintered stone.
 

Learning objectives

By the end of the CPD, delegates will be able to: 

• Understand the manufacturing process of Sintered Stone and the suitability of the product for both interior and exterior building applications
• Identify and recognise the characteristics and beneficial properties of Sintered Stone
• Differentiate Sintered Stone from other solid surfaces and identifying its design possibilities as well as its technical characteristics
• Assess the functional contributions of Sintered Stone as it contributes to green and sustainable building design
• Specify Sintered Stone with confidence in a variety of green and conventional buildings and formulate appropriate selections related to specific applications
