Officine Gullo project

Rendez-vous in Florence

In the heart of Florence’s historical centre, just a stone’s throw away from Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della
Signoria, an elegant apartment overlooks one of the city’s most characteristic landmarks: the Loggia del
Mercato Nuovo. Inside one can find a tailor-made kitchen by Officine Gullo.
The elegant colour characterising the furniture in this kitchen project by Officine Gullo is a matt Blue-
Grey (RAL 7031) with burnished brass finishes. The colours and materials harmoniously “speak” with the
architecture and furnishings that define the room.
The hob is a Fiorentina 90 model that thanks to six burners in double brass and different sizes together with
a majestic professional cast-iron grill guarantee quality and chef-like cooking performance. Many details of
this stove are luxury design ones, from its elegant and solid brass knobs to the touch-screen display and
three halogen lamps for perfect oven lighting. The electric multi-function oven has an extra-large capacity
(161 litres) and is equipped with dual ventilation for best heat distribution.
Above the hob stands a “high pyramid” hood. The height of the hood makes it particularly suitable for
rooms with very high ceilings, such as in this case. In fact, Officine Gullo’s hoods can be adapted to any
height thanks to their special cladding system that hides the chute by covering it up to the ceiling.
The washing area is illuminated by natural light from the window and the under-top steel sink is integrated
in the marble worktop, elegantly highlighting the sharpness of the lines and disappearing from view. A
single-lever mixer with an exclusive design completes the ensemble. The inspiration for the latter is linked
to the nautical world. On a ship, the control lever operates the vessel’s engine, while in this mixer the control
lever takes on the new role of choosing the water temperature.Under the counter top one can find a series of drawers and baskets, in addition to the dishwasher. The
backsplash running along the entire perimeter of the kitchen are in tempered bronzed glass, recreating a
luxury mirror effect.
On the opposite wall stands a 90-cm 3-door fridge-freezer, located side by side to the two columns used as
pantry. Backlit window cabinets complete the kitchen furnishing.
Karry, the apartment owner, comments on her choice of Officine Gullo’s kitchen as follows: “For my apartment
in Florence, I wanted a kitchen with a timeless style. Officine Gullo attracted me because everything is
customisable, from the composition to the choice of colours. The colour options are endless and it is very
difficult to choose. I really like the Blue colour that I finally chose and I am happy with the result.”
