The client’s vision was to fully refurbish the existing house, adding a basement extension that maintained the character of the original property, whilst creating some much-needed additional family space.

Working with Simon Smith & Michael Brooke Architects, Naomi Astley Clarke’s design maximises space while increasing its functionality. With an emphasis on conserving as much natural light as possible, the result is a clean and open-plan space, bursting with colour, artwork and treasured decorative pieces.

It is an interior of beguiling contrasts and bold details, yet it retains a cheerful, intimate atmosphere. It is a tribute to its owners’ exquisite sense of style.
