Shilpa Shah

Shilpa is a founder and director at interior design and luxury natural fabric supplier Nirmana Design. After graduating from National Design Academy in Interior Design, Shilpa started her company which quickly garnered clients from around the world. Nirmana Design supplies clients with a bespoke design process, from sourcing handmade luxury fabrics to delivering interior spaces that balance simplicity and elegance.

Beyond design, Shilpa is a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity within the industry. As an active member of the BIID Inclusion and Diversity committee, she champions the importance of increased representation and is working to dismantle barriers and misconceptions that hinder BAME designers.

Shilpa's commitment to fostering equality extends beyond the design sphere. Her work on diversity initiatives has led her to collaborate with the Hertfordshire police committee on their hate crime board, where she provided valuable insights to promote equality in serving minority communities.
