ST EDWARD'S SCHOOL - Apsley House (Oxford)
Working with TSH Architects, the focus of the refuribshment for Apsley House was to create a multifunctional space for boarding house pupils to utilise throughout the school year. With a large mezzanine floor, the design had to be flexibile and allow for a miriad of different uses - from sixth form pizza nights to lower school tutor groups. It was crucial that the pupils felt they could work and relax in the common room, which needed to be a home from home.
We used colour on teh walls to add some wamth as well as plaids and wool fabrics for soft furnishings mixed with robust leather and hardwearing wooden flooring to ensure the longevity of the design.
