Bailey Partnership project
University of Exeter - Harrison Building, Exeter
Role: Interior Design and Mechanical & Electrical
This large scale framework with the University of Exeter involved extensive interior and exterior refurbishment works, new builds and extensions to existing university teaching and administrative buildings, with particular emphasis on interior design and landscaping to create stimulating and inviting learning environments and social spaces. Many buildings had unique original features, which was sought to be involved and enhanced in the design process.
In the Harrison Building, the interiors are vibrant and welcoming for the students and have a defined identity to marry with the subject matter of the faculty which is innovative engineering and research. The artwork of resident artist Perry Burg was used to bring a unique creative feel across the reception area.
