Kate has worked in Design for over 30 years. She has lead the Interiors Department at HUB Architects and Designers for 14 years.
Kate’s work is timeless, focussing on the essence of good design. She gains inspiration through listening to her client’s interests, lifestyle and what is important to them, while she unearths a building’s history, its’ context and surroundings.
Having been involved with the restoration of many listed buildings, she has a broad knowledge of Conservation in Architecture. Her approach is sustainable and respectful, with a desire to preserve and enhance.
Kate’s design is underpinned by her sound technical experience. As Co-Director of an Architecture and Design Practice, she understands the craft of building, in particular for conservation projects and listed historic buildings. She can deliver carefully detailed drawings for construction, fine joinery and lighting.
She is able to specify the best interior products informed by regular visits to Tradeshows, Art and Craft Fairs and Galleries. Kate also has a passion for Antiques and historic references, integrating an eclectic mix of old and contemporary furniture, fixtures and fittings.
Above all, Kate’s greatest pleasure is to create places where people will love to be.
