Nell Begnett

I began my career with Colefax & Fowler working on the fabric side of the business where I gained an extraordinary knowledge of furnishing textiles. Inspired by the world-renowned Interior Designers at Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler, I returned to University to study full time and gained an Interior Design Degree at Kingston University.

After working for a firm of Architects in London, I moved to the Cotswolds in 2004 and began working for Diane Gramlick at Gramlick Designs Limited, returning to my love of Interior Decoration. I went on to buy the business from Diane after her retirement, and ran it with my business partner, Katharine Rutherford in Shipston-on-Stour for 17 years until 2023. Following personal lifestyle changes, we decided to close the office and set up independently.

I now run Nell Begnett Interior Design from my home on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk Border and continue to work in London, The Cotswolds, Norfolk, Cambridgshire and the Bath area.

I still have a passion for textiles and love working with colour and pattern. I am a great believer in creating interiors which will stand the test of time, be sustainable, so my clients will have years of living in a well designed, relaxing but highly functional home. I pride myself in the relationships I have built with my clients over the years. I have many returning clients and it is always a joy to work alongside people through the changes in their lifestyles, which requires their home environment to adapt and change with them.
