Using Your CPD Provider Benefits

This page details the benefits available to CPD Providers of the BIID including events, newsletter slots, and social media opportunities. Make sure you check out your benefits regularly, as it is the CPD Provider's responsibility to contact the BIID to take advantage of them.

An announcement of your newly accredited CPD(s) will be made in the e-Newsletter and your accredited CPD will be included in the CPD Providers Directory on the BIID website, once you have provided a profile image and nominated your relevant categories.

Benefits for current CPD Providers

  • Content Collaboration A dedicated member of the BIID on hand to guide you in creating valuable and relevant CPD content for interior designers. Add more CPDs to your listing for no extra charge other than the individual application fee of £100 + VAT (free for pre-approved RIBA or ASID CPDs).
  • Promotion to BIID Registered Interior Designers Your CPD will be highly recommended to BIID Registered Interior Designers who are required to complete 20 CPD hours per year.
  • Listing on the BIID CPD Providers Directory Your CPD is listed in the Directory under your chosen categories, and searchable via the A-Z.
  • Reach an online audience If you have a CPD accredited with the BIID, why not turn it into an on-demand CPD accessible for online learning to reach a wider audience? Please contact the office to find out how. 
  • Use of the BIID CPD Providers Logo Promote that you are an accredited BIID CPD Provider by adding the BIID CPD Provider logo to your marketing materials.
  • Event promotion Listing of your CPD events in the BIID events diary and through the BIID newsletter and social media. If you tag the BIID, we will endeavour to repost on our platforms. Events can be virtual or in-person. If you would like the BIID to promote your CPD event, please supply the date, time, and venue of your proposed event and the registration link. BIID accredited CPDs are open to all, so please advertise and invite to your whole network, not just BIID members. There is no need to report any of the details of the event to the BIID after running it.

Certificates

BIID members do not need a certificate to authenticate they have attended a CPD course – we take this on an honesty system. However, should a participant require a certificate, please feel free to create your own using the BIID CPD Providers Logo on the certificate and adding the hours the CPD is worth, as this is how most professionals in the built environment record their CPD.

And finally...

Once accredited, your CPD can be presented by any member of your staff as long as they are aware of the BIID's strict policy on neutrality.
