The brief was to incorporate the largest bed possible so we measured and planned the room to the last millimetre! We also designed and made the pillowcases (for kingsize pillows which worked best here) and duvet covers for this special size of bed.

This bedroom (and bathroom) suite is up some steep steps above a garage. The door to outside is visible from the bed so it needed to feel cosy. The '4 poster' effect of the curtains provides a den within a home and the starlit ceiling adds to the magic. Despite having to walk across the courtyard from the main house in all weathers, guests love staying here!
Sarah designed the quirky shape of the headboards in response to the angles of the eaves bedroom along with the wallpaper pattern which covers all the walls and ceilings in order to avoid any jarring junctions.
In a Chelsea cottage, this bedroom was designed with letting the property in mind (in the end it was sold!).
We worked with existing wall, floor and window finishes in this rented property, supplying furniture and furnishings that the client would want to take with them when moving to the next property.
The client supplied an antique bedcover for this room which wasn't quite large enough so we commissioned a fringe to trim it with and at the same time increase its size. It was also tricky to find a headboard fabric that worked both with the aged fabric of the bedspread and the fresh floral chintz of the curtains and bed valance. A woven silk with little flowers was the perfect solution. Antique chests of drawers and a mirror along with artwork already owned by the client finish the room.
