Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is the world’s premier destination for design and decoration. This autumn, it celebrates an optimistic new chapter with the return of Focus/21. Kickstarting on Sunday 19 September with a virtual launch, in-person visits will follow from Monday 20 to Friday 24 September. Whether you want to view the latest collections up close, reboot your creativity with a talk or workshop, or reconnect with cherished industry contacts, Focus/21 delivers the physical experience you may have been craving.

Engage with leading lights including Todhunter Earle, Martin Hulbert Design or Cordelia de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Home, as part of the acclaimed Conversations in Design series, head off on a Design Discovery Tour and delve into the stories behind the latest collections at an Access All Areas event in the showrooms. Each day will bring a different design agenda, with creative confidence the theme that ties everything together.

The Design Centre has a strong collective, unseen anywhere else; everywhere you turn there is the promise of design inspiration. There will be plenty of new pattern and colours, tactile materials and quality craftsmanship to see. New arrivals to expect at Focus/21 include Eccotrading Design London, Australia’s ABI Interiors, which sells tapware for the kitchen and bathroom, and luxury furniture, upholstery, lighting and accessories-makers Visionnaire from Italy. Andrew Martin will host a curated showroom featuring furniture, art and sculpture. Pop-up House Guests in the Design Avenue add another layer to offering. For sourcing, nothing beats experiencing key details like scale, craftsmanship and artisan finishes in person. Showroom teams are eager to share their knowledge, so Focus/21 is the ideal time to talk to them about your projects, get expert guidance or discuss bespoke options. Installations and specially commissioned places to eat and drink will bring plenty of visual inspiration. This wealth of experience is extraordinary and, what’s more it is a free resource for every visitor.
