Freehand Rendering for Interior Designers
This practical one-day workshop focuses on developing your freehand rendering skills to bring your sketches to life.
Through a combination of techniques and hands-on-practice, you’ll learn how to create compelling sketches that communicate your design concepts effectively.
The course covers everything from drawing techniques to shading and texturing using different methodologies with an emphasis on developing your personal style.
Whether you are an experienced interior designer or just starting out, this course will provide you with the tools and the confidence to create stunning freehand renderings that capture your clients’ imagination.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Duration: 6 hours – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (1 hour lunch break)

WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH
Improve your overall design skills by incorporating freehand rendering into your design process by applying shading and texturing techniques to create realistic interior design sketches.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Course Level: participants should have basic technical drawing skills.
Materials: participants should bring an A4 and an A3 sketch book, artist ink pens, drawing pencils 2H and 2B, 30cm ruler, 45 and 30/60 degrees set squares.
Sketches to render will be provided. Participants can also bring their own sketches or can create their sketches in studio with the tutor’s help.

ABOUT THE TUTOR
Born and raised in Torre Annunziata in the south of Italy, Gianfrancesco De Falco attended his hometown Liceo Classico “Benedetto Croce”, a scientific and humanistic school that proposes Latin, Ancient Greek, Italian, History and Philosophy as principal subjects. After five years of intense study, he enrolled at the University of Naples, Federico II, where he graduated in Architecture. Upon graduation, he was awarded a Certificate of Accreditation as a Teacher in Design and History of Arts in Higher Education in Italy and the Qualified Teaching Status in UK.
During his time at university, he focused his work on product design with an emphasis on ‘Ready Made’, participating with his works in various international exhibitions. He has a unique 25-year background as an interior architect on international residential projects and 15 years of interior design teaching experience. He currently lives and works as an Interior Architect and Interior Design teacher in London.
