We turned an upside down suburban house into an Edwardian style villa, taking full advantage of the wonderful view out to sea and the spaces created by the gardens surrounding the house. Adding lines of tall french doors and shutters with mouldings instantly transformed the outside of the house and gave an elegance to the inside when paired with the reclaimed strip wood floor. The entire house was painted in a tone of blue-grey, with one tone deeper for millwork, complimented by plain off-white linen loose covered upholstery custom designed in studio. This muted and washed-out background set the scene for a number of family pieces that came from the Edwardian and Victorian colonial periods.
